Read this before the result confuses you
Five pages. Two of them are about what a number here is not allowed to claim, which is an odd thing to put at the front of a manual and the reason this thing exists.
The five pages
In order. The first two are the ones worth reading even if you never run a check.
- What the check measures — the five steps, the four states, and the difference between an assistant naming you and an assistant reading you. Those two are never added together, and the reason is the whole product.
- “Not measured” is not a zero — what produces a dash instead of a nought: a missing key on our side, an exhausted balance, a rate limit, a homepage that came back as a challenge screen. None of them are a result about your business.
- Why two runs of the same question differ — ask twice, get two answers. Why that makes one pass a sample rather than a rate, and why you will not find a percentage on a free result.
- What to do with the result — five things, ordered by how certain each one is rather than by what it might return. The first is mechanically certain. The last is explicitly a checkbox.
- What this does not do — the surfaces that cannot be measured at all, the numbers that will not be printed, and what is not built yet.
What is true on every page here
- Named and cited stay apart. Two facts, two fixes, never one blended figure.
- Every count carries what it is out of. Named in 2 of the 5 questions we asked. A bare number is a number waiting to be misread.
- A run that did not happen is not an absence. It is left out of every count and it carries the reason it failed.
- Nothing here describes something that is not built. A page written ahead of the feature becomes a lie on the day the feature slips, so the gaps are named as gaps instead.
How support works
Docs first, on purpose: the answer exists in writing before anyone has to ask for it. When it does not, one inbox takes the question and a person answers it by hand.
There is no live chat, no phone number and no ticket queue. There is exactly one reply-time commitment, it is one line long, and it lives on the contact page rather than being restated here — a promise nobody is staffed to keep is worse than no promise, so there is one and it is small. What there is on top of it: any question that arrives twice becomes a page in this section, so writing in is how this list gets longer.
The domain you checked, what came back, and what you expected instead. That third part is the whole message — when a result and its reader disagree, the likeliest fault is our sentence and not your reading, and the fix is a doc page rather than a reply.
If you have not run one yet
The visibility check is free, and puts up to five questions to ChatGPT and to Gemini. Read what it measures first if you want the result to mean something when it lands. What every tier costs and which parts of this you cannot buy yet is on the pricing page.
