Free tools for seeing what AI engines can and can’t read on your site

This shelf exists so you can find out what’s broken before you pay anyone — including us. Every tool shows its result on screen, states what it can see and what it can’t, and is honest about the difference between the two.

Nothing here guarantees an AI mention. No tool from anyone does. What these fix are the inputs the engines actually read: your markup, your crawler rules, whether your pages render without JavaScript.

Each tool carries a status chip. The chip says where it runs — and unshipped tools say so plainly.

What the chips mean

Some of these run in your browser. Some run on our server. That’s a real difference.

A generator only turns the choices you make into text — it never needs to look at your website, so all of it happens inside your own browser tab and nothing you type is sent anywhere. A checker has to fetch a URL we don’t control, and a browser is not allowed to do that on your behalf, so the request goes out from our server instead.

That means a checker briefly handles the address you gave it, and a generator handles nothing at all. We label each tool with which kind it is rather than putting a blanket privacy claim across the shelf — because for some of these tools that claim would be false, and a privacy promise you can’t verify is worth nothing. One tool is both: the llms.txt page generates in your browser and validates on our server, and it says so on each tab.

  • free · runs in your browser Nothing is fetched and nothing is uploaded. What you type stays in the tab — open your network panel and check.
  • free · no signup Free and ungated, but it runs on our server because it fetches a URL we don’t control. We don’t claim in-browser privacy for these.
  • in build Not shipped. The card has no link, because a tool that isn’t live shouldn’t have one.

The guides behind the tools

What is GEO?

The definitions, before the tactics — what generative engine optimisation actually covers, and what it borrows from SEO.

AI visibility metrics

The six things that can honestly be measured — including the mentioned-versus-cited split most dashboards merge into one number.

Track brand mentions in AI

How to watch whether the engines name your brand, and why a single check never tells you anything.

Start with whichever one names your problem.

Four of these run right now, in your browser, with no signup and no email wall. The other four have their page live but the check itself is still in build — those pages say so, and show an example rather than a result. The one still marked in build lands when it is finished, and not before.
